securing cargo area

I know several companies make a locking "trunk" that can be installed in the cargo area (besttop, tuffy, aries etc).

Do any of these install and still allow the use of the factory tie downs? I use my front 2 tie downs often for keeping items from moving around in the cargo area. It doesn't appear so in the pictures I've seen but I can't be sure. I haven't read about anyone mentioning this.

Is one option easier than the other to remove?
for example, will a standard plastic type 5 gallon gas can fit under the cover?

Does anyone know if the aries can be used with soft top (trektop NX)?

I have an 08 JKU.

I'm liking the looks of the aries because the top comes off. so it would be easy for me to haul something big like a 5 gallon gas can.

however, still with it on, I'd like to be able to use the tie downs.

It says it works with hard top, but not softtop. I'm about to install trektop NX (will run that in warm weather and hard top in colder).

a picture would be awesome! thanks!
