Security Bolts

Hello All, Had the JK a little over a month now. Goal was to get the roof down and the doors off and I have accomplished that. What a great holiday weekend

My question is... When I put the doors back on do I need to put the security bolts back in place. Will it hurt to leave them out or is this a huge safety issue?

How many of you just leave the off.

Thanks in advanced

Dave

PS installed safari mirrors, chrome gas cover, chrome tip, grab handles, door seals, new black on black Jeep Logo tire cover. Good day project and I had to spend my MOPAR Bucks.

I put mine back in but only hand tighten them. Makes it easy to take them back off..no tool required.

I don't put mine in. Don't see the need.

They help keep the doors from being stolen. But you don't need them. We take them out and lose them almost instantly on all our Jeeps.

You DO want to make sure you use the door retainer strap though. Or you'll get a golf ball sized divot in the hood cowl. Or so I've heard. I still say it wasn't me.
