Seen These? - Insul Liners for Hard Tops

I noticed in the recent "Overland Journal" (Fall, 2010), a new product called "Insul Liners". They are insulated panels for the interior roof of either two or four door hardtops, are a great idea and look well made. BUT...wow the price! $565 for a two door and $750 for a four door. I am curious if anyone has these and what you think. Check them out at www.insul-liners.com

My two year old pics offroadheroes.com set, cost $250 bucks and makes the Nevada desert comfy hot/cold--search or google "JK hardtop insulation"

Old pic, but thats the way the JKU is right now, course I modified the insul-like I do most things I buy

Don't pay that much. I got a set for my 4 door that looks just like jims only a different stitching pattern. They are made by rugged ridge and cost $189 off amazon with free shipping. I don't know how well they will insulate but I hope they help a little when it dips into the negative 50s. Jim did his up with some extra sound mat behind the liners. He says that is the way to go to survive the desert heat ( both you and the adhesive ). I really like the way it transforms the interior. I get a lot of compliments.

That was with my acoustic-thermal insul addition and I think, from what I've read, that the Hotheads Headliners is really good too-

I think almost anything is better than the stock white hardtop inside !!

Good luck

JCF made her own, as will I when time permits.... Like many others, the heat escaping isn't nearly the concern that the heat entering in the summer is.... I was shocked at how much heat radiated through the hard top during the hot summer month that it was on.....
