Selling STOCK OEM Wheels / Tires

hello all, well.. my brand new Jeep has roughly 350 miles and I'd like to sell off the OEM wheels and tires for something a little bigger. For those who have sold off their stock settings what kind of money did you get for the set up? thanks for the insight!

They are the stock sport 16 inch wheels with wrangler st tires

Check Craigslist in your area, that'll give you a good idea for pricing. Also a good place to try and sell them.

Depends on what kind of wheels you want. If you want basic steel wheels, Jegs and SummitRacing have the best prices, all the 4WD type places have Jeep wheels, easiest is probably to get a catalog or two at the bookstore, find what you want, then price shop online...

Watching Craigslist closely around my area for the 255/75/17s and from what I've seen on the 16's, people are generally asking 300-400 bucks for the 5pc set. I actually thought about going down in size because of the price difference, the 17's are running 500-600 for the 5pc set....

I'm seeing the same numbers, figured you would get more for a set in good shape. I just don't want to drop a grand on tires, haha

Well these prices are for ones where they were taken off from a new Jeep in a very short time, what I would certainly put in the "take-offs" category....

Well, you see, the problem is that most who are looking to upgrade, want wider tires than you can fit on a stock wheel. Not unlike yourself..... That puts them in not so much demand. So no, you won't get enough out of them for free wheels and tires. Especially if you are upsizing tires. Tires are expensive, that's why Chrysler puts short, skinny tires on Jeeps to sell them... They don't want to invest anymore than they have to either.

I just sold this exact same set of P225/75/16 Wrangler ST Tires. I sold 4 of them for $300 without the rims. I'm currently looking for a buyer for the spare that I still have. I installed Goodyear Duratrac 245/75/16 on my new wrangler JK sport. They rock and look great on the stock 16" rims.

Around here (N. Georgia/Atlanta) it depends on the style. They stock steelies with the Goodyears are all over for 150.00- 250.00 for all 5 and the better ones with A/T's go for 4-500.00 while the Rubi's can be up to 7-800.00 bucks.
