Sexy wheels but wtf

I have a 2009 jk 2dr. Pretty much i'm in love with these RBP 93r's, black with the chrome trim. On 4wd.com, they have the 17x9 listed for every other jeep besides a jk. But, anything higher than that has the jk listed as acceptable to use. Is there any reason why i couldnt buy these 17x9 wheels. Check out the link below.

4 Wheel Drive Hardware Search-RH1

I'm in afghanistan at the moment and its kind of hard to call them up with the crappy phone service we have here haha , so please dont think i havent tried. I was just hoping somebody could shed some light on if these wheels would work on my jeep or not, or the reasons why they wouldnt.

as long as the lug pattern matches up then you have no worries. Also since your set on the 9" wide wheel your gonna need a tire thats atleast 12.50" wide. Do you have a lift or plan to lift it all??

If you would like to post up all of your questions here, I'd be happy to call them for you and ask and then post their answers for you

Just my 2 cents on sexy wheels.
If you're going to go off road with them, they get torn up.
I'm about to paint my DC1s because of the rock rash.

Well, if you're going with a 9" wide wheel(or more) you can't live with 5" backspace without spacers, for turning clearance and if the wheel mfg doesn't list as applicable to the JK, even if it shows a 5x5 bolt pattern--

That probably means the HUB center hole won't clear the JK hubs, they sometimes call them "HUB CENTRIC", which is Bogus, but thats a different story

LIke you said you've emaled them--press for more info, in your position--don't buy them and then have clearance troubles

One of my sons is due back from Stan the end of this month--PREDATOR program

Good luck

Ok, I called our 4WP in Memphis and spoke with Ben.

He said that the one you are looking at is the wrong bolt pattern.
Yours are a 5 on 5, the ones you are looking at are 5 on 4.5

He is going to call them and check to see if they are available and call me back.

you could probably fit a 10.50 on there but IMO it just want look right. If the mfg of the wheel has a website you might want to look there for more options.

yeh the link showed that anything below 18" wasnt in the 5x4.5 bolt pattern. im sure Kate will find out if they are available but as for the website, they dont seem to offer/make them in a 17" tall 5x5 bolt pattern

Ok, I have news for you.

Ben just called back.
They don't make and stock the size that you need BUT they have blanks and can drill them in the size that you want.

So, here's what you do.
email, MEM@4wheelparts.com ATTN: Ben
He's the guy that knows what's going on. I told him you'd emailed before and didn't get a reply. He sounds like he'll help you out.

Good luck!

K,
