Mine is an 08 rubicon with just over 40,000 on it, flawless, no oil use, runs like a watch!
And these engines are built pretty impressive: flat top, Teflon coated pistons, four bolt mains designed after the old Chrysler hemis of the 60s, roller cam, and a cross ram intake manifold.
my 2007 Sahara, which i traded for my 2012 Rubi, had 65000 on it when i traded back in Aug. no problems with engine reliability, just overall vehicle performance (imho) with the 3:21 rear. already have over 13000 on the 2012 Rubi and no problems with that one either and like the performance much better.
May only have 25K on mine but it still runs great. Saying that, I have owned two other vehicles with this exact same motor. Both had over 250K and still ran great. One leaked oil bad but ran great. The 3.8 has been around over 20 years and was a great motor for Chrysler. Not worried about the motor at all. Transmission on the other hand, well at least in the Dodge Caravan wasn't as reliable. At least in the earlier models

I have 7200 miles on my 2011 JKU as of today. I have a neighbor that has a 2008 and he informed me over the weekend that his had just turned over 100k miles.
Mileage on mine after my re-gear is 15 MPG back and forth to work and around town. My wife and I went on a quick weekend trip about three weeks ago and I got 16.8 MPG average over three tanks. That was at about 70 MPH on the interstate turning 2500 RPM with the cruise control set.
As far as oil I am just doing my second oil change tomorrow. I am a Valvoline nut, I am running the Valvoline SYNpower 5W-30 synthetic with the NAPA Platinum filter.
