Should Have Got The Hard Top

After 3 months of driving my 2012 Rubicon 126 miles round trip each day during the work week, I wish I would have got the hard top. Ended up ordering one from my local dealer so I have a soft top for sale if anyone needs one.

Buying a hard top just in time for summer?

What didn't you like about the soft top?

Would have done better buying off eBay or another member, I'm sure you overpaid the dealer. Maybe could have traded someone looking for a softtop.

I just bought a soft top today, though I plan on keeping my hard top for winter.

It's a 2 dr with the deep tint. I'm in Eastern Panhandle of WV, near DC

650.00 OBO. Prefer Pickup or will meet if it's not to far

Same. Had the hard top but once I got the soft top on, I never have considered the hard top going back on

summer is here almost! soft top will be so much better imo! but with that long commute I don't blame you for wanting to make the highway driving more bearable. hard top will deliver that...as for myself, I don't care how bad the soft top flops around or how much noise it makes, the satisfaction of a convertible in about 2 minutes is too great. hope you enjoy the hard top and get a quick sell with the soft top.

IMHO, if you bought a Jeep KNOWING that your commute was in excess of 25k miles a year, you deserve to suffer.

This is like complaining that your Dodge Ram SRT-10 is costing you an extra house payment.

If hes never had a jeep before how would he know? That seems like a pretty harsh statement IMO.

Pray tell, if you spent a minimum of two hours a day doing ANYTHING, what would be your primary criteria to accomplish that task?

Second Jeep, first being in 1995. Having the top down just isn't as cool for me at 37 as it was when I was 20 + the long commute. Thought it would be

I wouldn't sweat it.
It's ironic that the vehicle is so flexible and yet the owners/fans sometimes not so much.

The thing to remember is that you have a choice with this vehicle. Don't like an aspect of it? -CHANGE IT.
I like the hard top myself and I'm fine with simply removing the freedom panels if I want some air.
If I change my mind in the future it's some cash and some elbow grease and BOOM -soft top.

They are our Jeeps and it is our choice, so let the evolution continue unabated!

EXCELSIOR!

My JKU came with the hardtop, and its fine in the winter, but once the summer came last year I had to buy a soft top.. Love the ability to change the tops from winter to summer runnin'. Just put the softtop on last weekend & loving it, although it can be a bit of a pain in the ass taking the hardtop off with a 15 year old...
Funny thing is, my wife doesn't understand the whole changing out the top thing or jeep thing for that matter... I guess she never will.......

Just bought mine with the hard top and I love it, before showing up at the dealership I didn't even know you could take certain panels off like a T-Top.

I did have a rental Jeep about a year ago with the soft top and it drove me crazy

I commute 70 miles per day and have only ever had a soft top with my 2010, which I bought new. Zero interest in a hardtop. Zero. I'm 32. Funny how disparate folks preferences are.
