Should I be concerned?

Just noticed this dent in the exhaust pipe a couple of weeks ago.

For all I know it's been there since in purchased the Jeep back in 2010.

Haven't noticed any change in how it drives, so.....should I be concerned about this dent?

Thanks!

Nah it doesn't look big enough to affect the flow of exhaust .but my question is how did you get the rear end flexed up high enough to dent the exhaust ? ( or that's what it looks like to me )

If you've been driving it since 2010, and it's still driving as it always has, I wouldn't be too worried. Looks like it's been there awhile.

I'd be more concerned about what caused it. Looks like something uniform - a rod, bar, etc. Anything on the Jeep that could've bashed into it?

Just my 2 cents.

Ya know what, I kinda thought that, too. Then rationalized it by thinking the OP woulda noticed it before now.

But I guess it could be.

Yea, like I said, for all I know it could have been there since day 1.

I've only taken the jeep off road once and didn't get into any trails that were to aggressive. I don't recall hearing any loud bangs or clunks under the jeep.

And as far as on road driving...who knows!?
Can't imagine what would cause a dent like that

I only just recently noticed it when I went to change the diff. fluid.

I had looked back there before, but, just never noticed it. I usually was looking more at the springs, shocks....not the exhaust pipe.

The dent is fine, I'd check your rear bump stops though...

Mine has the same dent. I noticed it two days after buying it, so it came from the dealer like that on mine any way.

Alot of pipes have craters like that and it's factory done to say. If you haven't gone all crazy in your jeep from off roading, then no worries! If it was hit, you will notice scratches & what not with it.
