Should I buy this JK??

Okay, so I am in the market for an 2007 or 2008 wrangler (this will be my first jeep) and I came across a 2007 wrangler sport x that is very tastefully modded and from talking to the guy seems like it is in pretty good shape. I ran the carfax today and it said that the jeep had its engine block replaced. Now I have seen A LOT of ads for jeeps with replaced engines and it seems like a common problem, and I know some about cars, but not a whole lot on this so im asking yall, is this jeep good to buy?

Thanks!

Thanks for the fast response! It is a sport, its automatic, $15,000, and it has aftermarket front and rear bumpers, winch, 2.5in lift, 33in tires, high lift jack and mount, and the guy said he has all the reciepts for the work done and it spun a rod bearing and the engine was replaced with a brand new crate engine by Jeep under the warranty. From what ive read on other parts of the web, this is perfectly good then, but I just wanna make sure!

It sounds legit to me…test drive it…take it to a mechanic to have to have it checked out. Is the warranty still good on the new engine?

Go for it!

Many 07 and 08's had issues with burning oil. It sounds like this was one of them. Since the block was replaced, you should be good to go. I would be confident buying it.

Sounds like a pretty good deal to me. That's a very good price too. With the new engine I'd say you're safe
