I have gotten my list of stuff narrowing down and need to make a few more decisions before I purchase my JK. I would like to see pics of JK's with any rim besides black. I could go for a little bit of black accents, but not black rims. My decisions so far are as follows: 2012/13 rubicon, 6sp, RK or AEV lift to clear 35's(still deciding on specifics), 17 in rims(still deciding), still deciding on front/rear bumpers, and rock sliders. Going to go with 4.10 gears, and warn winch. My biggest part was deciding which jeep to start with, found I like the new motors power. Enough rambling, show me some pics please. This will be the 3rd jeep for me, first wrangler.
Either way OP, everyone knows what you mean by 'rims' bud. I am not in the 'gotta be an all black rim' club either, I don't like them as there is no definition to see what the wheel looks like in most lighting situations. I have a silver jeep and went with the silver addicts which I thought turned out really nice since I originally wanted some MT Classic Locks. Honestly they look even better in person but I think the pics demonstrate it well enough
Thank god someone else isn't into all that black rim thing.... It seems in 4wheel parts the wheels are all black with 4-5 chrome/polished wheels. Mainly the Mickey Thompson classic and the classic lock, but again it's a fake bead lock which I don't want. I'd hate to pull up next to a jeep with real bead locks and have him look at my wheels while I look at his. I'd feel kinda dumb with fake bead locks. So to me it was the MT classics or some procomp wheels looked good. I ended up going with the procomp 1069 style in a 17x9. The 1079 has those fake looking bolts that make it look bead lockish. Went with the BFG All Terrain T/A K/O 285/70R17 on the Jeep. I only realized when I got home after getting them they were the SAME wheel as I have on my 1977 Ford Bronco in a 15 in with 33x12.50x15 BFG All terrains too. Here are some photos of both.
The bronco has 15 inch wheels so much more tire there.
These are the same in 17's with 285/70/17's. Not quite as big as 33's but the BFG's run small, my 33x12.50's dont measure exactly 33 inches.
Kinda funny how I bought the same set of rims four to five years apart, without realizing they were the same brand and style.
I love that classic look on jeeps with chrome or polished wheels over black rims any day.

Argent Pintlars with matching caps. Go with the AEV 2.5 lift with the drop brackets for the front control arms. The ride with progressive rate springs, 5100 Bilsteins shocks and proper suspension geometry is amazing.
^^ good question. I like to offroading but don't know how deep I would go with it. But if I get something that does great offroading, I can see myself wanting to do more. Almost like a vicious cycle. Ultimately I do not want something lots of people have. I like the pintlers, but there popularity kind of hurts them with me. Like the white rims on vintage rides but probably a no go on newer stuff. I could opt for OMF rims with exception of prices.
But alas, the question remains, bead lock or not? Haven't decided, more pics are necessary.
Beadlocks are illegal at least to my knowledge in Ohio, but that doesn't mean people don't run them since the average cop won't know the difference and one who for a probably has a jeep and wouldn't care anyway. Just something to think about.

Beadlocks are 50 state legal and have been since the day they were invented, some custom and DIY kits arnt DOT approved so they probably shouldn't be used on the street, but doesn't make it illegal....
