Show us your stock bumper mods....

Show us your stock bumper mods. I'm thinking of just modifying my stock bumper and maybe add a brush guard. So any stock bumper mods, post some photos so I can get some ideas....Thanks!

Brush guards suck man. If you get into a front end collision, that brush guard is going to destroy your jeep. They cause more damage than a stock bumper. For what you are going to pay for a brush guard, you could get a rugged ridge shorty for 375 and be alot safer and not worry about hitting anything.

The lights are switched and fired with a relay, thought I might need light back there without being in reverse, never know...

The write up that I did is over at JF, in the JK forum under the FAQ section, here's a link.

Great mod! I put this mod on a few days ago. Not much of a difference though.
Installation was so easy, it's like I didn't even know it happened!

There's not much room in the bumper though, if I remember correctly, it's about 2.75".

none that I can think of...just spend the time to measure and re-measure, once you cut a hole, it's there. good luck and post a pic when you're done!

I ended up not wanting a new front bumper. So I put a baby stinger I had custom made on. It might not work in the actual situation which won't happen where I live we mud not Rock but I was to iffy on. A grill guard it just seemed wrong like it's cause damage my baby stinger is a excellent blocker to odds and ends stuff I haven't tried brush yet but I think it can hold up. I added tow hooks too when. Bolted my stinger bolted the hooks on and I put fog lights. I'm always iffy about the stinger but it causes such a pain to get under the hood but because I'm small I use it to get inside under my hood an put my ankles on the stinger plus i think I could use it to hold a tow strap behind it or a Jack

heres a sneak peak at mine, still need to weld on end caps to "finish" it off but its almost done!

got Rock Solid Off Road Fab to make me some Dring mount plates (1/4 plate with 3/4 thick dring tabs) for the stock locations $60 for the pair, not a bad deal if you ask me.

ill do a build up or write up when im done welding the ends on.

and ill get some better pics of everything as well.
