I put on 33's and Black Rock wheels.....looks great. I take my jeep to my daughters soccer game....only jeep on the lot....Five minutes later...a jeep with lift and 37's shows up.....made my jeep look wimpy I know why you guys always say..."Your going to want bigger tires"
Running 37" tires look nice and work well offroad, but they are also a lot more expensive to buy and maintain. The added wear to the axles, brakes, added unsprung weight that could bend a stock axle, etc... all add up to more expenses in addition to the cost of tires and suspension adjustments to clear those larger tires. Your Jeep will not be nearly as expensive to keep maintained with 33" tires. All Jeeps look good. Build what you like.

I only want 33s ....poop on the guys with the f150s around here with the 12in lift and 45 in tires lol

hehe... just kidding, I have 33's as well. I was pissed I did not have my camera, I stopped at a fair last summer. Well, you know how all jeeps park together right? I came out to my white YJ that I backed in next to another white YJ and while I was in there 2 more white YJs showed up! Now I live in a small town, to see 4 white YJs together was quite odd!
there's some guy around my small town that runs (when it works) an older japanese pick up that's got about an 18" lift with tires nearly arm pit high. The bottom of his rig was at shoulder level....pretty stoopid IMHO..... I've seen him parked at the A&W stand. He had figured a way to scramble up using his front tire while his passenger actually used a short step ladder to climb in.
The juvenile crowd around here seem to go for the "tall tires means something" theory.
The rest of us somehow manage to creak by without needing the flash.
Frankly it's pretty much flare-and-display of the reptilian neck ruffles IMHO.
Ride what you want, don't expect sympathy or adoration though.
get in--buckle up--hang on
"soothing agricultural implement/personal servant/Walter Mitty multidimensional access utility device conveniently travels on pavement when necessary and often keeps me warm/cool/dry/soothed as needed."
Imagine how guys in TJs and YJs feel, some of who are running on the equivalent of 27s and 28s, when a stock JK pulls up. Not imagine a JK on 37s. no wonder we TJers have little man syndrome
But here's the truth. No matter how big you get, there is always some one out there with a bigger better rig. Makes yours unique, special, and how you like it. Whatever gets you where you need to go, and makes you happy is all you need.
