Side sep / step rail questions

Hey everyone newbie to the jeep world here, just recently got my jeep and because its just a sport It obviously didn't come with any type of rock rail. I want to get a side step that kind of feels like the Rubi rail ACE slider combo but obviously something that is all one piece. Long story short:

1. I want something that relatively protects the rocker panel area and gives me a step.
2. something that is not a 2 part purchase (i don't want to be into these things for $500 to $600).

Any suggestions and pictures would really help my decision Thanks!

I'm usually not a Smittybilt fan but I do like their sliders. It's like a rubi rail with a extra step bar attached.

Sorry, don't have a link handy.
