Silver Lake Dunes info please.

I have a 2010 Unlimited Sport w/ 33x12.5R15 Duratracts, and no lift. I was curious if i would be able to ride the dunes. I'm not looking to climb steep hills or jump, just wan't to take the kids on a fun ride. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

Oh yea, I've done it on stock tires in an 06, just drop the tire pressure down and go for it, you'll love it!

I'm new to the whole jeep thing, 6 weeks ago bought my first jeep ever. I had it 1 week and went with some friends to Silver lake. There is no where they can go you can't go also.

Go for it, you'll have a blast. If you can don't go on the week-ends there are just way to many people.

Just remember to air down your tires, I tried them at 15 and went to 10 and that works great. Have fun I sure did.

My new Jeep has been there 6 times so far this year. It helps that my dad lives there. I run 10psi on stock 17s and go everywhere. So much fun!!

There are several companies that rent stock jeeps up there with nothing special on them. It should be a cake walk for you. Just air the tires down and you'll be good.

Thanks everyone. Sounds like its gonna be fun. I was just worried that my tires would rub without a lift.

You can buy a flag and bracket when you get there and he has free air to air your tires back up for the drive home.

Several places up there sell brackets and flags. The gas station on the state park side of the roundabout can get you fixed up. Get one of the brackets thats got a twist in it and itll bolt right to your stock tow hook.

They do get crowded on weekends, and super crowded on holiday weekends. It's still a lot of fun, but sometimes there's a line to get in.

Lots of soft sand away from the beach, and great hills, a few of which are a real challenge to climb (especially for heavier trucks) - but you can always roll back down - just keep the wheels straight!

Dealers near the entrance will sell anything you might need. Great place!
