Single Tinted Window

Last fall, probably right around Halloween, someone slit the driver's side soft top rear window on my 13 JKU. My step-daughter saw someone running from the Jeep (parked in front of the house, the alarm must have scared them away). At the time I didn't think anything of it, as it was 2 or 3 in the morning, I didn't see anything visibly wrong.

A few days later I noticed the whole window had a nice slit running down it from a razor cut! I ended up putting the hard top on earlier than I had wanted and decided to look for a new window over the winter... HAH!

I am now running a mean piece of duct tape down the side of the window (can't screw it up anymore than it is already!)

Does anyone know of/or have any advice, on finding a single window for the JKU? It is the newer fabric style top. Thanks!

Do a search in the For Sale section of the forum. There are quite a few people selling the soft top windows. The clear ones show up more frequent than the tinted ones.
You can also check on Quadratec.com or Best Top for aftermarket ones.

or you can go to your local shoe repair / upholstery shops, they can sew a new window on there for you, you can even get it tinted
good luck

Thanks CharlesS and fred1diver! Fred, I would never have thought about having a new window sewn in.

I used to work as a shoe maker's apprentice and we did them very often, we used to do more sewing and upholstering than fixing shoes lol

I see windows on Craigslist all the time as well...just have to keep looking until you find someone with your color top. I used clear tape on a soft door window slice: worked out well for a while, then turned kinda yellow. Ripped it off and replaced the tape. Keep the windows for trail....or bad neighborhood.
