Sirius issues since getting caught in the rain

Yesterday I had my hard top and doors off, and the freedom panels on. The hot, sunny day decided to turn into a spontaneous thunderstorm on my ride home and I got drenched. This morning, my Sirius kept "acquiring signal." I know the antenna is somewhere up in the sound bar, and I know the sound bar got pretty wet. Is it possible the antenna got damaged? Is it user reparable/replaceable? Think they'd fix it under warranty?

Did your headunit get wet at all? I would be more worried about that. The antenna itself is pretty passive.

Does your GPS still get a signal? Its antenna is up there too.

Not sure about newer ones, but I'm pretty sure my antenna is under the center dash panel, not the sound bar (though I did put a GPS antenna over my sound bar for a portable unit I have)

I don't have GPS. The head unit stayed mostly dry under the panels aside from a bit of spray as I drove that I periodically wiped off and seems to be behaving well.

I thought all the JK's had the Sirius antenna mounted in the sound bar above the passenger seat? The MOPAR instructions say to put it there.

Hah! You are right, the big thing under my dash cover is the compass module, passenger side above roll bar for antenna. There is another module under my dash cover I thought was antenna and it is, just for a NAV unit that I don't have - it's an OEM GPS antenna. It's only 8:30 in the morning and I already learned something today.

Seems to be behaving now. Possibly some oddball atmospheric stuff this morning... there was an ozone warning. Maybe sunspots. Who knows.
