Talking Skid plate question

Hello everyone I have a new 2012 2dr Jeep and before I take it offroading I want to make sure its protected right. So my question is if i'm not doing much rock crawling do I need to buy more protection for under my Jeep other than what it comes with?

My second question is, What are the important areas to protect

Thanks for the help guy

There was a vendor on here that posted pictures of skids for the 2012. You definitely need to protect the tranny cooler line if you have an automatic. Rock crawling has nothing to do with it. Jam a stick in there and you're walking out.

I'm assuming you don't have a rubi, the one thing I recommend is good pinch seem (the metal running under the door between fenders) protection. ACE rock sliders seem to be the most popular (i just ordered a set from krawl-offroad, cheaper shipping then from ace themselves). That area will be prone to dings dents and scratches when you go offroad. having them will also help make sure your fenders and side rails are the first targets for anything on your sides, whethers its soccer moms at the mall or trees and rocks on the trail

Thanks, I've already looking into rocker guards. I think the Smittybilt SRC Rocker Guards will protect the sides very well and they look badass

Yes! We just posted a few days ago the EVO skids we just released (Free shipping...)! It is a great setup and will protect everything that needs to work to get you off the trail. Skids are not only for rocks either as mentioned!

Here is the link:

Now, we can also help you with the Smitty Rocker Guards as well! Feel free to PM, email, or call us and we can help you get setup!
