Yea I figured I was going to end up shimming it out, but I wanted to know if everyone has this issue.....Seems like a poor design. The tubes should be angled slightly backwards then this wouldn't happen at all.
So I shimmed it out and now the doors are sitting nicely against the wall, but there really should be some directions saying which end up, maybe what drill bit size to use, and that shimming may be necessary because of the design...
But oh well.
I know everyone complains about the lack of communication and length of time from ordering to receiving. Then everyone praises the product.....
Well, I cant praise this product. I mean I'll use it, it keeps the doors off my garage floor, but it doesnt work as well as I thought it would. PLus the plastic inserts dont even fit in the tubes tight. 2 of them come out every time I lift the doors out of them....This is a real PITA.
If shipping times improve, the owner/company responds to inquiries, and the tubes are angled backwards it would be a great product and a good company. Until then I wont recommend these.
