Wildboar for hard, Off Road Heroes for soft. I don't have either but I like the looks of both of them.

Wow, I never had the intention of even considering a hard top, but that wild boar hard top has me thinking otherwise now.

I thought Bestop had the fastback soft top market cornered with their Trektop NX... I had never even heard of Off Road Heroes (only been Jeeping about a year and a half)... ORH's pictures of their fastback top sure look beautiful... Gotta look into this to see if it's as good a top as it looks... Wow! Thanks for the heads up!

I planned to get a soft top when I first got the Jeep so I did a lot of research and picked the ORH as my favorite. I later decided I didn't want to mess with a soft top at all. I run naked in the summer and if I think it might rain, I take the pickup to work, grumbling all the way that I am not in the jeep. . .

With that being framless if I am correct do you have any problems with water building up on top of it. I had a similar Setup on my YJ and I hated is because it held water and only way to get the water out was push up on it and then it came in cab.

That is one thing they improved with the JK is the water does not settle and stretch out the top.

The trektop nx has bows to keep water from pooling

Trektop NX. I love it so much, I'm debating on whether to go back to my hardtop this fall.

That is a pretty big drawback. What do you do when you want to go topless? Take the whole thing off?

That's what people with hardtops do... At least with a soft top, you can go at it alone (or don't need any special tables or lifts if you do try to do it alone).

The side and rear windows still come out, leaving a "safari top". Which can also be removed relatively easily.

Here's mine with the whole top on.

Talking Jeep Fastback hard tops

Just a heads up, I know this is stale, but we found an amazing top, from a great Veteran owned company American Fastbacks, Inc ([url=http://www.americanfastbacks.com]| American Fastbacks Their web site is weak, but their Twitter (@jeepfastback) and their Facebook is pretty cool, facebook.com/americanfastbacks, they do TJ, YJ and JKU, our top is great, tight, no leaks and we got it in 7 working days, no SHIPPING cost...awesome we love it!! We tried Crazy Pig and they told us 8-10 weeks and wanted us to pay for it up front, American Fastbacks takes personal checks, money orders, whatever, they were awesome. Could not be more pleezed!

I've got a fastback top from Offroad Heros(California Tops) sitting in customs (San Francisco). When it gets here and after I install it, I'll post my first impressions.

Spam? Vendor....really??? Just a new Jeeper that loves his top! I'm a DAV and I appreciate anyone that supports the troops. If we all pushed a little more American made pride, we'd start kicking the crap out of all the Chinese-Taiwanese-Drop-to-ya-knees junk that is invading us like cancer. Personally, I served my country, as have generations back to WWI in my family and we all buy American, maybe I just liked the name American Fastbacks, either way, love to see pic's of other AMERICAN made tops.......just Jeepin in real!!

They are still in business; I have the Fastback part of a MultiTop order sitting in customs(SF)(they are in Canada).
The company is very, very small(maybe even a one man operation), so orders take a while. They manufacture as orders come in andlead times seem to be 4-8 weeks. I can't vouch to the quality(I've read that, that is not the issue) but every time I've called Tim(owner?) has been very friendly and helpful.

Has anyone figured out a successful way to take along the Trektop NX windows? How easily does that rigid corner plastic situation slide up so that they can be rolled up?

yeah he's always been polite and was pretty quick with my order for the most part. only issue i can find with my top is that i wish there was someway to roll up the rear window on the fastback and keep it up out of the way instead of having to remove the whole piece. other than that its a great top
