Sluggish?

Hey all you jeepers.. Help me ease my mind. I took the family to the black hills from Minneapolis. About a 10hr trip, mostly flat until the last hour or so, some pretty steep climbs at 75-80 mph. I noticed on these climbs that my 2010 Jk 6 speed could not keep speed in 6th gear (also into a very stiff headwind). In Mn we don't have any steep climbs like these.
Once in the black hills we did quite a bit of touring through the hills with some steep climbs and descents at 35-50 mph. I noticed once back in the flats that 1st gear has almost a power band effect,( accelerates quicker than normal). And getting up to 65 mph took a uncharacteristic effort and amount of time, almost sluggish.
I will give you some of My driving techniques,
Steep climb at 45-55 mph I would use 4th gear at about 3500-4200 rpms.
Steep descent, 5th sometimes 4th gear with both engine breaking and using actual break. I have probably done about 170 miles through these hills which are much like mountain passes.
Only 55k miles on my 2010 jeep jk Sahara with no modifications.
Long story short. I am a bit concerned about how long it took to reach highway speed after a 1hr 45 min trip through these ups and downs. And I still have to make it back to MN!!! Please help ease my mind and tell me the Bumble (that's what we call it) will be fine for the trip home!

I have read, but cant back it up, that if you turn the key into the on position but dont start the engine...wait for all the indicator lights to shut off ie: abs, traction control, airbag etc..(check engine light may stay on) and then depress the gas pedal all the way to the floor quickly and release it, then turn the key off. Apparently this is supposed to reset the computer and its memory/ input of your driving. You can google it a little and find plenty of threads on it, and not just in jeeps, also in chargers and other mopar vehicles. I tried it, I didnt notice anything different, but alot of people said they did. My '12 jk 6 speed is slow as molasses going up hill, and doesnt cruise much faster then 75 comfortably.

You didn't indicate what your gear ratio is. If it's a 3.21 with a 3.8 that's going to happen. It will also happen to an extent with 3.73's and even with the Rubicon 4.10's, but to a lessor extent. You shouldn't be trying to stay in 6th gear. Downshift when you need to. Other than a tune-up, since you have 55,000 miles and it's possible you could use new plugs, it's difficult to say what else could be the issue. I think you are just now experiencing a 3.8 on other than flat terrain. When I hit hills, even with 4.10's, I have to downshift. That's normal. If you had an auto. in 2010 it would be worse.
