Smitty Bilt Winches

Anyone else running a Smitty Bilt winch on their rig? I learned where the weak spot is on them. The hand-held switch connection to the selinoid box. Unfortunately, as usual, I found out it was bad when I pulled out the switch to get myself un-stuck way, way back in the woods. Had the rig high-centered on a water bar, all four wheels off the ground. It was fun till the winch failed me. Luckily I always carry other recovery gear, including a shovel. Took a little work, but got it cleared. I got home last night and changed the connector out. Works like a charm, in my driveway....

BTW, had a great time before I got it stuck, and afterwards too. Love this machine, it goes everywhere I wand it to.

Steven
