Smile Smittybilt SRC Gen 2 Front Bumper

I have a 2012 JKU and I heard this new bumper from Smittybilt was supposed to be coming out this month, but I have yet to see one on a Jeep other than the picture they have in their new products brochure. Does anyone have a picture of this on their Jeep and does anyone know where to order these, or if they are even avalaible yet? Any information is appreciated as usual!

Thanks!

Thanks! Front bumper looks similar to the original SRC, but I am not crazy about the rear bumper...in fact I don't like it. This has been the biggest point of contention for me and my wife. I really like the AEV front and rear bumpers (except the price!), but she doesn't, she likes the Smittybilt SRC front bumpers. I do like the XRC, but she doesn't like the stubby type bumpers!...I guess it is her Jeep though

The rear is interesting...kinda looks like a cross between expeditionONE and AEV...if you like AEV (curved corners) then this bumper looks great. The front seems nice and clean. Will sell for sure.

The front looks good IMO, I like it. I guess on the rear I don't like the gap on the curve where the bars wrap around to the rear fender, but thats just me. I do like how they integrated the tire carrier with the bumper though.

I like how the newer front bumper allows the use of the oem fog lights. But kinda liked how the older version looked. I was thinking about buying the original one for a few months now, but not sure if I should wait since there is a newer one.

So is the original one not available anymore? You think it will be sold cheaper since it's discontinued?

Here it is listed on Fortec, but shows "Price Currently Un-available"

Jeep® Front Bumpers - Smittybilt® - SB 76724 - Smittybilt® SRC Gen2 Front Bumper for 07-14 Jeep® Wrangler JK 2-Door and other Jeep Wrangler Parts, Jeep Accessories and Soft Tops by FORTEC

Part number is SB 76724.

I'm interested in an XRC Gen 2.

I contacted SB though email about two weeks ago, but they haven't responded. I have no idea when these are supposed to be out.

I like the AEV, but to me the selling point are thins like the water carrier in the bumper and the fuel caddy. Looks wise i'm Meh but the functionality? Heck yeah!

I emailed Smittybilt yesterday asking for an ETA on the Gen2's pictured above. They replied that they wouldn't be available til late fall. I was very interested in the new XRC, but I don't think I can wait that long.

I can confirm your post. I was at Jeep Fest here in Dallas this past Saturday and spoke to a rep from Smittybilt at the show. He said they honestly do not know for sure when these bumpers will be ready. He told me it would probably be about 5 months or so. They had a prototype Gen2 SRC on a JK there at the show and although it was well built and looked much tougher than the current generation SRC, I personally didn't like the looks of it. Anyway hope this helps anyone who may be interested!

I actually like it very much, retaining the factory fog lamps is important, we like lights!

I am in no rush for the right bumper.

I like the looks and I'd consider them if I didn't already have the original SRC's.

My Extreme Terrain Barricade bumper just arrived, I was so excited until I saw the ups guy and the corner was sticking out of the box down to bare metal. Sent it back. Smittybilt said via email the rough estimate is September. I will just wait!

Well, maybe that delivery was serendipitous. September on the SRC, or both?

Per Smittybilt on the 9/3 about XRC Gen 2s,
"Fronts and Rears pushed back till December earliest
Per R&D, working out bugs.."

And I had purchased and I'm on my third extreme terrain renegade front bumper, I'm away on business and it delivered today it's sitting out in front of my house in an open box.

I simply can't wait to see the condition that this is in tomorrow evening when I get home
