I've done a few installs. its a two piece system so you can mount your winch to the winch plate, then install the shell. The winch plate has a cut out for clearance for the canister.
hints drill out the 8 front bumper mounting holes to 1/2", depending on your jeep you may have to trim the front crash bar if the ends hang down below the crash bar. they say its for newer jeeps but i have done a 2016 without trimming anything. when you position the winch plate make sure its in the lowest position and then when you install the shell make sure its raised tot he highest position.
rear bumper is a rated hitch 500/5000 lb. the swing is heavy, you will like to have 2 people to do the install and alignment. do the latch alignment with all the weight on the swing. you can fine tune by loosening the latch, then closing swing and tightening the bolts. They also use shim washers under the swing pivot. the side mounting bolts, start the rear most bolt then install the front most mounting bolt. fit your gerry cans in and keep the tailgate bumpstops on , you may have to trim them but it helps eliminate rattle of the cans.
for the rear bumper how do you run the wires for the 3rd break light and the optional rear facing lights? I like the looks of the rear but I it is more then I need right since I am running stock tires.
for the front bumper how are the D ring hooks mounted? are they strong enough to truly use and not rip off or bend the front bumper?
There are rubber grommets in place in the top of the carrier where the 3rd brake light mounts, but the tube is butt joined to the horizontal plate with no access.
I drilled myself a hole in the tube just above where it meets the horizontal tube and ran my wires inside. I didn't like the idea of having the wires zip tied to the outside.
The wires come out near the carrier hinge, and are tapped into the original 3rd brake light wires behind the passenger side tail light.
I haven't installed any auxiliary lighting back there yet.

does the front bumper have hi lift jack lifting points on it. I see they say the rear does.
