Smittybilt XRC M.O.D. Midwidth bull bar front bumper any reviews?

http://www.quadratec.com/products/12051_2430_07.htm

I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on the bumper/winch, does any one have any reviews as far as ease of installation, and use? Pictures would be awesome! Thanks!

Can't recall where I read it, but I think this one needs the pump relocated. Other than that, I 'think' it was fine. I'm looking at this one as a possibility too. Just love all the different options you can have with it.

Just be aware of known fitment issues with Shittybilt products. The reason they are cheaper than everyone else is because they are made in China. Me personally, I would not put any of their products on my Jeep. I would rather spend the extra money and get one made here in the States.

Newer versions of this bumper do NOT require a relocation. I just installed it and the bull bar on my jeep last week. Install is super easy, but yes sometimes the holes dont want to line up. I have the full width attachments that I plan to install in the next couple days. As far as the "shittybilt" buy what you like. I am not going to be doing any serious off roading and I liked the look of the bumper.

I like ACE, AEV, and Poison Spyder Customs to name a few. Here is a link for you to look at. It has a lot of reading and pics all about front bumpers:

I installed the XRC with a warn zeon 10. Minor grinding for the winch fitment, pump relocate low and back a few inches was easy and the bumper mounted up fairly easy. Just had to do slight metal removal on the front mount plate for the winch and bumper mounting and fit. Overall I like the look and it is sturdy and strong. Just did not have the $$ for a better bumper.

That's good to hear.

As for shittybilt, I'm pretty much 100% DD/mall crawler/kid hauler, and don't plan to do any serious off-roading. I love the look of some of the brands mentioned (especially Poison Spider), but love the look of the XRC as well. May as well just get the cheaper one.

Honestly, get the bumper you want. No need to listen the hive mind that just spews out the same BS without personal experience with the product.

I have the exact setup you're asking about and I love it. Yes, it's made in China. Yes, a couple of the holes between the bumper and the bull bar did not line up - that was easily resolved with about 10 minutes of using the Dremel. You also need to do a tad bit of drilling on the frame to enlarge a couple of holes - but that's part of the install instructions. If you go in with these expectations, then you won't be disappointed with the outcome. No pump relocation was necessary on my 2013 JKUR.

In the end, it's a BEEFY bumper that I am more than willing to take off-road, and I have taken it off-road plenty with no reservations. The included skid plate is awesome, and very stout. My Engo winch also fits on it perfectly.

I love the way it looks and unfortunately have not found any other bumper which I liked the looks of equally. The only down side for me is that it doesn't have holes for fog lights, but the bull bar has a couple of holes available for mounting LED's or other lights.

There are a couple of more pictures in my Jeep profile on the left.

The wife purchased the full quadratec package for me for fathers day. The stubby and bull bar went on with no fitment issues. The end caps are awkward to get in and position correctly. The winch tray has an angled area by the ends of it that can cause some mounting problems for wider winches. My quatratec winch had to be put on the rear most mounting holes. Other than that, its a solid bumper with very few issues and no cutting involved.

Only thing I wish it came with is the adapters to run the dlaa fogs on the stock harness. Im not a fan of cutting wires when there is a better solution.

Thinking about adding this bumper as my next mod, but worry about the added weight hurting my mileage as it is my dd. Anyone who has installed this notice a difference?

No noticeable difference from me. That's like worrying about your MPG when you add a passenger in your Jeep from time to time.

The quadratic guy mentioned to me that they plug right in the existing harness I'm guessing that's not the case then?

Mine rusted badly and they replaced it under warranty. Then I sold that Jeep.

I have had the front bumper with winch (Q11,500) and rear bumper for almost a year with no issues. Installation was about 3 hours for the front as you need to open up a few frame holes with a drill to allow for bolt alignment. I had no need to relocate any components. The full end pieces can be a little bit of a pain in bolt alignment, but just take your time.

I have it. Do I like it? So so. Quality? Sucks. Fit? Even worse. Read my post on the subject.
Don't Order Anthing from Smittybilt

Updating on this, the fog lights that came with it are crap. They lasted about three weeks then got water in them and died. Right now I am stuck with it but I will never by Smitybilt again. I just ordered the LOD Gen 4 for my rear bumper. Maybe I will get the LOD for the front down the road but for now I have other MODs I need to spend on.

I installed the bumper and Q winch on my 2013 JKUR, it took some fitment as to drilling out two holes for the frame fit and an angle grinder to get the winch to fit, it does seem pretty heavy duty, the winch really sits low and doubtful if anyone could steal it. I used the winch this week to pull myself out of a snow bank (ice is ice). The fog lights are nice and bright and work but as previously mentioned, they get condensation and water in them, QTech replaced them and the replacements already have water in them....so when they fail, I will replace with another fog light with good reviews. For the price and features, no complaints.

Forgot the question of mileage, you will get a small amount of additional rake on the front, did not notice any MPG drop until I put Duratracs on...went from low 19 to mid 17.
