Snow in south central texas!!!!

Ok I know all you guys are gonna laugh, but we got some snow last night, a very rare occurrence in the Austin/ San Antonio areas. So I'm excited to go throw on the 4 wheel drive and drive the 4 miles to work.
But I must say, she looked awful pretty with the snow on her

You were only joking about using the 4WD right?

I'd post a picture of our 'yard' filled with the snow from the parking lot and driveway, I'd estimate it about 5' deep all the way across...you wouldn't even know there is a popup camper buried out there. But...it's too cold to unpack the digital camera and go out and take pictures...
enjoy what you got-at least you can clean it up with a broom! LOL....I've spent $50 on paying someone else to shovel off the shed roof, clean the driveway again a couple hours after my wife and I did it with the snowblower, and a guy to plow open the end of the drive where the snowplows buried us in again...I'm ready for spring...please!

I don't need it, only an inch or so deep in most places, but I still wanted to play so I used all the back roads to work

I feel you Adain. I'm in Dallas, we got two inches of ice on Tuesday, been below freezing since, so nothing is melting, and got 6" of snow last night. Dallas has been shut down for four days. This just doesn't happen. Still, its been fun to drive the jeep.

Ya those that get it all the time it's no big deal, but for us it is. Funny everything is shut down.

I'm in Ft. Worth and can't tell you how many people would like me to come get them, since I have a Jeep. I'd put mine in 4WD as well, not because it needs it, but because we rarely get the chance to do it for snow! (okay, I haven't yet, but it doesn't mean I won't before the day is over)

Make sure your traction is low enough were you wont get extensive binding.. Just to put in in 4HI for haha's is not worth the damage that you could do

Ya I was mainly using it on the icy hills that have stop signs on the top to make it easier to take off again

I live just north of Dallas. I drove to Oklahoma yesterday and will probably go again this afternoon. I enjoy driving the Jeep in these conditions because, like someone said earlier, we don't get ice or snow very often.

Well it didn't last long. It's all already melted away, which will make the roads more dangerous tonight when it all freezes. Streets are gonna be slick as snot tonight. Think I'll stay home

Lame poser pic! It was fun this morning. 6" here in DFW, and yes Dag, 4wd. We had 2 inches of ice this week which was not much fun and very difficult to drive on, snow gave it some traction today, but tried 2wd and slid trying to just roll forward. Ij 4wd, could do anything and never lost traction. Had fun running around making tracks for a while, then did duty helping dumbasses in sports cars get up hills and what not. Fun!

Every 5-10 years we get some snow here. A few years back we got a mini snowstorm that lasted a full day. Took my jeep into the muddy snowing desert back road trails and went nuts! Then picked up my girlfriend at the time and hooked up in the back to top off the great Jeep day. :P

Put it in 4x4 & enjoy it while it lasts!! Snow is fun to wheel in for sure!! I'm jealous.
