Snow N. VA - Yea Fun Now

In N. VA when I left for work at 0430 this morning, we had 7-8" of snow on the ground...Fun driving except following people who don't know how to drive in it.

You should not even try to drive a car (even if fwd) in this. Saw a Honda Element try to transition from a ramp to I-495 & stuck in a 2' wall of snow because of the snow plows not clearing the transition. Both ramp & I-495 ok.

I just took the Jeep thru the 2' of snow about 15-20mph in 4x4. The Jeep slowed up but I didn't let it stop in the middle.

Fun drive I know we now have 12" of snow in our community now. Wish I was home to take some pictures.

Snow can be fun when you're prepared for it! Be safe and enjoy!

I'm in Richmond, we got about 6-8" here and it's all turned to ice on top basically. Wish I had my Jeep today!

*posting from mobile in a parking lot with Freedom Panels off* to say have fun but stay safe! 4wd does not make you invincible. The most important part on a Jeep in snow is a single nut....the one behind the steering wheel.

I'm in Leesburg, VA. There has to be 18" on my deck and driveway. And I'm out of coffee. Wish I had ordered a month earlier.

I'd take your heat over the VA heat any day. It's like walking outside and you feel as if you're walking into pea soup - we're basically a swamp

I spend quite a bit of time in Vegas and will say I love the dry heat. August in Vegas is HOT, but it's dry! I have a hard time handling humidity

Either way, with 6" or so on the ground, I'm jelly!

I lived in Cleveland for their record high 104 with about 99% humidity. ICK! Opened door to go outside-closed door and said hell no. Here with low humidity 104 is sit outside in the shade with acool beverage and enjoy weather.

I was living in Cleveland on that day. Had a summer job doing landscaping while I was in school. Yeah, that day sucked.

An attempt to plow me in, for me fun going right through! Was one of few to make it out if the lot! Wish I didn't have to work. I hate the fact that no none else comes in but since I have a jeep I am expected to be in! Would rather be out playing in the snow!!

Hopefully most of the people stayed home today. With the population and roads down there you could have a real mess out there. Have fun and be safe.

My place looks pretty similar to that. The plow pushed all the snow up to our Jeeps. It's going to be a blast to drive through it!

The east coast is getting large amounts of snow and freezing rain; here in San Diego, CA we have been receiving Santa Ana's for the past couple months with < 2" of rain. There have been days when the temperature before dawn was almost 70* and increased to the mid 90s with humidity of 10-15%. Today the temperature was 87* with humidity of 10-13%.
The governor has already declared a drought situation and by summer we will probably be on water rationing....
If it sounds like I am complaining about our nice weather; I AM !!!!!
I am originally from New York and even after 20+ years living here; I am still miss the winter snow....

20 inches here in the Shenandoah Valley. Love it. Went out with the kids this morning and nothing could stop my jeep. My son had the atv all over the property and then I joined him in my jeep. We had a blast!

This was part of my ride to work. Its about 8 miles on a unplowed secondary road to the hwy. It makes for a fun trip to work.

We had about 15" in Ashburn, VA. This seemed like the appropriate amount of snow blowing. Both of us got out just fine.

This was mine yesterday morning before I cleaned her off. Didn't want all that snow sitting on the soft top. Think we got about 12inches in the Dale City area.
