So my jeep has 8k miles and my brakes squeak

So my new jeeps breaks squeak when I first use the jeep each morning. I have never had a new car do this. Do you think it's worth taking in to the dealer or just give it some time to wear down a bit

FYI it only does it first thing in the morning

When you apply the brakes, it is normal to hear a bit of squeaking. This can typically be resolved by adding a layer of "brake quiet" or equivalent to the exterior of the pads. I'm sure there are a number of other products that perform the same or better, including upgraded pads with vibration-dampening coatings. When the squeaking becomes a screaming squeal, your brake pad depth indicator clip is scraping the rotor to let you know you should have replaced your pads a while ago.

That being said, and based on the limited description of the issue, along with the low mileage, leads me to believe your issue is the former.

FWIW, if my Jeep sets for more than a day, a thin film of rust will form on the rotor surfaces. When I start driving, the first time or two I use the brakes, they squeal until the pads clean the rust off.

Are you talking about a squeak when you are crawling (not talking about rock crawling)?
