I picked up my 2016 JKU last week. It is bright white/Hardtop/24s Package. Nothing else. I actually had to order it that way. I dealt with Craig Brenner super nice guy. The easiest car buying experience ever. My truck before Tax and title came out to be...(My cost including $599 fee was $31406.25). I would highly recommend dealing with these guys. Oh I am from Ohio was a 6hr drive one way

No matter what Wranglers are hard to get a great deal on. Dealers never give a lot of money off wranglers like Grand cherokees, cherokees, etc. They sell simply too well and there is not a lot of cash on the hood for most of them

Spoke with 10 dealerships, was physically present at 5 dealerships, drove from New Jersey to Koon's in Virginia because they gave me the best deal. Only one dealership in New Jersey even considered matching the 7% under invoice price on a factory order. The other 3 dealerships would not go more than 1% under invoice.

Spoke with Erica, Jordan, and Craig. Placed my factory order on the 4th of July for a '16 JKU Sport, 23s, 3.73's, limited slip diff, connectivity, hard top, and supplemental side airbags all for 11.89% under msrp.

Absolutely the easiest car buying process/experience in my life. Would highly recommend to anyone interested.

Looking forward to picking it up by the end of July (hopefully!)

On a side note; I booked the Westin in Tyson's Corner the night before for 80 bucks and there is a Wing's place down the street called "Extreme Wings" with huge beers, awesome wings, and filipino run karaoke. What more could you want before purchasing your next jeep?

Yes I tried about a dozen. I even tried Tru car, Edmunds ect. All waist of time. I did have a few say hey we can't do that deal but we can get you in a Jeep today! LOL!

Hands down best car buying experience ever. It was only a 6hr drive. The dealer ship is 5 miles from most of the cool stuff in DC. I say make a weekend vacation out of it. Your welcome to PM me with questions.

Great thread!

When will the "end of year" sales begin in prep for the 2017's to start rolling out?

I suck at math- but to sum up- the price Koons has listed on the website, not the MSRP, but the "Koons price" can be even lower? I actually got the "golden ticket" and had no clue what it was. Fortunately, I'm cheap and love coupons, so I kept it. Now the questions is, will they take it with a giant coffee cup stain?

Just spoke with Jeep chat. Still in D1 status. Order placed on July 4th, VIN the next day. The anticipation is killing me.

HELP please: I have been trying to decide on buying a new '16 JKU vs. waiting for the new '17 JKUs for a little while. I am looking not looking for the power 24S package - just the 24C, an automatic transmission, and the Sunrider premium soft top. A local dealer just told me they have a new '16 JKU in Rhino (which I'm good with) with automatic and the premium top (and will also include connectivity and Sirius) and will sell it for 28,050 ($3500 off MSRP - 89%).

It's an end of the month sale and I'm sure it's partially motivated by the fact the order banks for the '17s opens on August 11 (according to Milous over at Jeep Garage).

Should I do it or should I wait until the '17s? What will I be missing on the '17s vs the '16s that I might regret?? I need to make a decision in the next hour because I am going out of town tomorrow for a week and they are only offering the sale until end of August.

Thank you in advance!!

TrueCar is showing a Sport JKU w/ 24C & Premium Sunrider top with an MSRP of 30,540. Invoice of 29,836. The price you got of 28050 is about 6% off invoice which sounds good!

This may be a dumb question but how do you contact Koons to receive the below invoice pricing? Do you just call the dealer in VA or is there a process or specific way? I have a dealer near me offering invoice minus 1% on a sport and crying how they aren't making any money. I am not feeling it is such a good deal after reading this thread.

I spoke with three dealers in nj who all said the same thing. Don't do it, save yourself a couple thousand. I was initially skeptical as I'm sure you are, but it's the real deal. Call up Koons, and ask for Craig or Erica.

Another Koons question, I've been following a couple different vehicles on their site, lo and behold the prices have gone up 2300 in 3 days. Is there a better time of the month to purchase a vehicle, more negotiating power?

I noticed that too. I'm assuming that since there are limited 2016 out there and they've stopped production, the demand has gone up if you want to own a Wrangler in the next month or so. Supply and demand!

I think it might have to do with the amount of people clicking and saving the vehicle. And there's another one at Fair Oaks in VA that has exactly what I want, at the lower price.
Could it be because it's the first of the month? Hell I've waited over 5 years now, I can wait until the end of the month to see if the price drops.

I was looking this weekend while in md/ Virginia area near DC

$48,215 was sticker on hard rock. More that I really wanted. Offer to take $3500 off. Plus tags, tax and $300 processing.

Still seemed like good deal. Just more than I wanted. Seems like they offer deals like this every month and end of it at least.

Thoughts on it?

My dealer told me that I was getting the jeep at cost. I know they will make a little, but it seemed fair and was pretty much the same price as TrueCar. They showed me the MSRP, Invoice, HB, FFP, and EP for the build. I'm getting Invoice minus the HB, which leaves my price at about $400 above the employee pricing. Not bad.

I bought a brand new 2016 Blue Rubicon on Sunday for $5300 off factory sticker. Absolutely a steal of a price.

Dealer in Manahawkin, NJ has a 75th Anniv listed with $9k off? $43,700 listed for $34,690. That's 21% off MSRP, not sure what invoice is yet but clearly this must have all incentives, which some folks won't qualify and available cash.

In the market for a new JKU so I appreciate this thread. thanks!

You can ignore that pricing on their site. Email Craig and ask him for the WF pricing. It's lower than what they advertise.

I exchanged emails with one of their salespeople who said his sales manager, Erica, said the online price stands, as it's a limited edition (75th anniversary) and they are selling out quickly. Their loss. I found another one, all the same options, at McMullen Jeep in Hattiesburg, MS. A thousand miles closer, and Drew will price match. Actually? Even less expensive, because they don't charge as much for their processing fee. We're picking it up on Wednesday!!!! YAY!!!!!

Hi all, new to the forum, been lurking and reading a lot though, Was planning on Ordering a 2016 JKU since they don't have the exact things I want around here but was wondering if I should go ahead with a 2016 or wait for the 2017s ?

You can no longer order a 2016... I think they closed on July 18th. And 2017's haven't opened yet, internet rumors point to Aug 11th for the '17 order banks opening.

I'm in the same boat....missed 2016 date by a day.

Thanks man you made 1 of my choice easier anyway 11th aint to far away. Had wondered about that but seen they still had the " Build and Price" for the 16s on the website so wasn't sure.

I might have missed this in the thread, but, how do taxes / tags / etc work for purchasing a vehicle out of state. If I travel to VA from SC, does it matter what state I reside in?
