ya i think I may have to go for the boot also, how does it attach it looks very nailed down in the picture?

and ya I would have to agree putting your windows in that thing would be a bad idea, bad for windows
oh also

do you think this is as good quality as yours?
or do you think it is the same at all?
I don't know much about boots

The top and bottom of the boot zip together and enclose the top. The corners buckle to the roll bar and the corners tuck into the tub wear you rear sail panels tuck.

A better question is when you take the top down? Mine comes down in early April and up in November (as do the doors). I have a Smittybilt boot that works well.

It IS a matter if preference. I wouldn't call it a PITA. It does take more time, but worth it to me.

I just found a site online selling it for $40.00 with free shipping for the JK model. $33.60 for TJ's. I just ordered mine. It looks very clean installed.

I'll be doing that sooner or later. I heard it's around 140 lb. too. That's heavier than I thought. Someone told me to leave it unlocked as well since people will slash the top to get in.

I saw some quick release, hand screws on e bay for cheap, that allow you to remove soft top with out tools, for faster removal all together.

think they are a good idea?

Only reason I don't like those is because it makes it too easy for someone to steal my soft top.

It takes two minutes to unscrew the 4 bolts holding it in place.... Do you just have money burning a hole in your pocket?

The soft top isn't that heavy, the hard top is. Leaving doors unlocked or not is up to you. Lots of folks with unlocked doors get windows slashed. Lots of folks with locked doors do to. Thieves are stupid or they don't want to leave finger prints on door latches... So, take your pick, don't leave anything you'd like to keep in your Jeep.

Smittybilt soft top boot video

I know this thread is a bit stale but, considering I've now proven to myself that not everything is available on the internet...

So I've read many complaints about the soft top boot being somewhat difficult to put on. I'm not thrilled with the idea of spending 20+ minutes to put the top in the boot, but I also don't like the idea of dust getting on the inside of the top.

I'm looking for a video of someone actually putting the thing on and taking it off (ideally for a 4-door as there's a bit more top to stuff into it). Anyone aware of any videos? Anyone who has a soft top boot feel like making one? I've searched a lot and can't seem to find one.
