Soft top?

I just got my first jeep.. a 2014 wrangler unlimited sport.
I instantly took the hard top off, but am now in need of a quicker, easier top to throw on when it rains. The factory ones are too expensive.. any suggestions?

A cheap tarp from Wally World.

I wasn't trying to be sarcastic. You said cheap and easy to protect from rain.

Hope someone has the answers that you want.

Id say look through Craigslist. I paid $500 for my factory soft top.
If you're looking for a cover, look at the Raingear or Mopar covers.

You're not going to find easier to put up in a hurry without some sacrifice.

The Trektop NX is very affordable, has sunrider option that is VERY quick and easy to open and close, but you trade some functionality and convenience.

You didn't mention in your OP that you want to be able to drive while covered or just a quick, cheap cover while parked (assume from your reply to Barmanvarn that you want to be mobile). So either sacrifice some of the convenience of the OEM top and go with something like the Trektop NX, or shop around Craigslist for a new take-off or used OEM top.

You may want a bikini top, or something like the Bestop All Weather Trail Cover (not mobile). Define your need, the search accordingly.

Read the sticky "Soft Top Help!!!" thread for more detail than you'll ever want on pro's and con's of the various options.

Good luck.

+1 on craigslist. Also look in the FS forum on this and other boards.

If you live in a large metro area you should be able to find one at <50% of OEM cost. This very weekend I picked up a never used 2011 soft top with tinted windows, still in factory packaging for $450 off CL. For whatever reason there is a much better selection of new or near-new soft tops for JKUs than JKs.

With the 2015's about to start rolling off dealer lots in a month or so I suspect we may see a fresh supply from buyers who got a dual-top option from a dealer lot and have no use for the soft top.
