soft top and hard top

When I got my jeep it came with a soft top but they ordered me a hard top as part of the deal. The hardtop hasn't come in yet but what I anted to know does the hardtop eliminate some of the putside noise better then the soft top?

I just made the switch myself and It really reduced the level of outside noise that gets into the cab. Now, all I am waiting on is the wiring harness so that I can get the rear defrost and wiper to work. Hopefully I get it before the really cold weather hits!

Make sure it's installed properly. They really aren't that loud when they're put up right.

I switched to a hard top for the winter. Definitely quieter. Also, my soft top never really flopped or made odd flapping noises.

Yup, the hard top is much quieter than the soft top. When you switch back from the hard top to the soft top, it'll sound like a window is open or something until you get used to it again.
