Help - I bought a premium Jeep wrangler Unlimited soft top. I have the brackets on the jeep already - but I am missing the screw that attach the soft top bows to the brackets - no idea what they look like - can someone tell me if can buy something at hardware store - I am not talking about the screws to hold the brackets on - i have those - but the screws that secures the soft top to those brackets - this is an unlimited - not 2 door
No i bought it on craiglist but it was a brand new premium from a dual top purchase - I have the roll bar brackets and those screws but it looks like there are screws to attach the bows to those brackets - would love a photo since it look very different than my 2 door - I am sure they are screws i could get at the hardware store - but would need to know the threads and size
Take a look at my picture. This is on a 4 door unlimited premium top. It is the bolts/screws that go into the threaded holes on the soft top. Attaches the soft top to the roll bar brackets. Not the same as two door at all.
It replaces the threaded part of the bow arm with the quick release and as the item says its for unlimited as well and it attaches to the brakets, the pictures dont cleary show what you need. Do you have a picture of the broken/missing piece? And I know it says bestop but i use them for the factory premium top
In the first pic. See the holes on the left and right. That is on the soft top. Picture should be flipped. Those holes are threaded. They line up with the two holes on the bracket attached to the roll bar in the second picture. What you showed me, those quick release are what I had on the end of my two door jeep soft top.
Take it to the dealership, they will know what you need. They sghould be able to tell you the size and the threads from their FSM. Another idea is to go to the dealership and find a 2014 Wrangler with a soft top and have a look inside for yourself.
Nope it is neither of those - went to a local dealer and looked at them - then parts guy looked it up - they are 6mm x 20 bolts - I ended up finding them at hardware store instead of ordering from mopar for $1.25 each
