Soft Top Compatibility

Hi all, bought a commando green unlimited a couple weeks ago. It came stock with the freedom/hardtop. I am thinking about picking up a soft top for the rest of the summer. Would a soft top off of a 2013 Sahara 4door fit my 2013 wrangler sport 4 door? Thanks In advance!!

It will provided it comes with all of the hardware. Make sure the seller gives you the brackets for attaching the bows to the roll cage. Those are $20 each and often forgotten

It should fit just fine. I just bought a soft top that came off a Sport and it fits perfect on my Rubicon. Just make sure you get all the hardware for around all four doors as well as the two pieces for the tailgate.

Good luck!

x2... Find a cheap one on craigslist. Unless you have money to blow on an $1800 new one. Account for all pieces before leaving deal. It sucks missing pieces. Don't ask me how I know -_-

Should have 4 door surrounds. 2 straight (1 for driver door 1 for passenger door) and 2 90 degree folding (1 for each rear door). Make sure you have all the screws/knobs. There should be 6 in total ( 4 long screw/knobs go in all four corners on roll cage and 2 short screw/knobs that attach in center of roll cage holding front and rear surrounds together). There are also two brackets that clip on to the back of the rig (right above swing gate). They hold the tailgate bar. Oh yeah.. that's another piece you want to make sure comes with the set . The rear plastic window slides into the tailgate bar and keeps the inside of your Jeep dry.

If you like riding with the top off and have ever taken the hard top off without a hoist, you will really appreciate the convenience of the soft top. Switched from a hard to a soft top myself a couple weeks ago and never looked back.

The good part about buying one off a 2013 or 2014 is that they come with spring assist to aid you with putting the top up or down by yourself. My JKU came with the hard top and I was able to find a new 2013 premium soft top on ebay.

Congrats on the Commo Green Jeep, I have a 2 dr same color. The tops are interchangeable as long as its a 4 dr. It could be Sahara, Rubi or sport. As stated and there are deals to be found on your local craigslist. I got my premium s.t. for 575 form a guy who didn't quite know what he was selling. He stiffed me out of the brackets but I picked them up from the dealer. The seller was a bit of a turd about the brackets but I got the top real cheap and it is nice. Good Luck.

It's like 3x thicker and made of cloth. It is a true black color and the inner liner is black.

Thanks for the replies everyone. Picked up the top for $600 from craigslist. Guy was real cool and had all the pieces. The top looks to have been never used! Took me like an hour to get it bolted on by myself. Fit is awesome! Now I have to find a way to store my hardtop for the next few weeks until it starts cooling off.
