soft top cover?

Is there an accessory that can cover up the soft top when it's folded all the way down? I'm thinking something like a zip cover for the bimini tops on boats and such. I'm still so new to this jeeping thing, I wasn't even sure where to start looking.

I took my 2012 up to 80 mph without issues. Worried a bit since there are no tie downs, but it behaved beautifully. Only a ten minute drive at that speed... Fluffed up a bit but no big deal.

They do sell boots for them. I had one and sold it, if was a pita to put it on and honestly, i hated the smell of the material on really hot days. Lol. Personally, I have never had an issue with the top folded down on the highway. To be sure, I bought 3 black bungies and wrap them around the sail to secure it just incase. If your fear is the wind bellowing your top open like a parachute when you hit the highway, you don't have to worry.

The boot is more for a clean look to me, others will disagree I am sure. Good luck!

Nah, I wasn't really thinking about it blowing open; there just seems to be a lot of material (I have a 4 dr) and I was thinking wrapping it up in something would keep it neat and out of the way when I close the swing gate. Maybe I'm over analyzing it a bit.

I have a 4 dr as well. Never had an issue with the top without the boot. It's totally personal preference. I don't like them, but some do. It's one less thing to hurry and rip off before getting rained on. Lol

I must not have folded it right because it didn't look half as neat as yours. Guess I need a little practice.

I'm OCD with the top. If I don't get a perfect W on the side of the fold as I take the bows back, I bring it back mid way up to get them to form the W on the splines. Takes practice, you'll get it.

Pretty much just let mine drop. Have a boot but so far just use it to cover the top when stored in winter

If you use the boot you regain all of your lost storage space.

Daggo, thanks for the link. Now that I know what the boot looks like, I know it's not what I want, nor what I had in mind.

We have a boat with a bimini top and when we fold it back for storage, there's a bag that zips around it. If I had a pic, I'd post it. It's something that gets tossed in a storage bin when not in use, so there's no space taken up, and protects the top when it's in storage or folded back. That's what I was talking about. I would also when I remove the soft top to store (I have the hard top, too), to protect it.

What you are describing is EXACTLY what the soft top boot is.

Ok, I'm using my phone so I hope the link works but if you look at the wakeboard tower, there is a Bimini top wrapped in its bag right in front of it. This is the kind of cover I'm looking for. Is there one for Jeeps?

Ok, so the link went to the google search, but in the pics, there is a blue and white boat with a wakeboard tower in the first row of pics. That's the one I'm talking about.

Hi Scarlet,

You can get some FREE catalogs from the following stores:

Quadratec.com
4wd.com
4wheelparts.com

And I'm sure many other places. There's usually a link on the home page to sign up for the free catalogs. They are a GREAT starting point to see what's out there for our beloved JKs.

It wraps around the top and zippers closed, then attaches to the body.
