Soft top is in...

So how many beers does it take to put on the soft top?

I'm picking it up on Wednesday and having my tow package installed. I quick browsed my owners man. and the instructions seemed a bit vague.

Any do's and don'ts not explained in the directions would be appreciated.

In the meantime I must try and take back some garage space from the oldest kid, he's got three freakin quads he's working on in there and our dang sixwheeler is in there and needs to go back to it's real home. Anyone else have a huge garage and no room for their car? Time for the boy to get busy, I don't even think I have room to safetly store my hardtop!

Oh, the previous owner of the kids jeep had some type of dolly contraption where they took off the hard top and stored it right on the ceiling of the garage. Made it seem easy for off and on and what better place to store the dang thing. Anyone have any specs on how to build something like this?

here's my 4 car extra deep garage. next to the tires stacked to the ceiling, the hard top is sitting on a dolly. these are great, i bought it used one season off ebay for like 70 bux shipped. it takes up less space, and just roll it around if you need to. i like it.

there's also harley in there somewhere, and the fenders, grill, accessories 3 engines, and a whole lot more, i feel your pain.

Just set your soft top out in the sun for an hour or so before you install it. It will go much easier.

I dont have that problem. My 4+ car garage is new to me and I havent had time to pile much iin it yet. That will change when we get my Dads car over to rip apart and restore.

Thanks for the info, the sun makes sense....now if we ever get the sun out again. It's raining and snowing...wtf?

LOL, that's how our garage looks, one side has a bunch of crap stacked along it, it parks the skid loader and the giant truck behind each other, the other side is full of my kids projects, my poor saddles and horse tack keep getting shoved in the corner.

Lately I've been just parking it in the shop but have to keep moving it out once the guys get sanding, it works but my interior now needs a good vacuuming cause I keep tracking corian dust in it. Grrrrrr...
