Soft top issues

I have an 09 x and finally got to take off the top today. But I went to put it back on and the passenger side wouldn't snap in above the door. I finally found that the rear bar was overlapping the frame near the door. I was able to push the bar back behind the plastic frame and force the top to snap I. Above the door. Then I found that there was not enough Velcro to cover the top of the window! Then I attempted to remove the plastic that tucks into the roof above the door and could not get it out it is so tight. Has anyone had this issue or know what may be the solution? Thanks.

It's really hard to tell what the problem is from your description. Take a look at some of the videos available on You Tube, you may find them helpful.

If you are talking about the retainer clip (long plastic piece) that tucks in above the door, to get it loose, grab the ridge of fabric on the top above it and pull down. That should loosen it up enough for you to get your finger under it.

I'm guessing if it is a four door that the bow that pivots backwards when opening is not fully engaged with the rod that goes forward to the header. It kinda just snaps down onto the side bar.
