Soft top just installed not sure its right Please help pending rain storms!

I just installed the soft top on the jeep and it has not rained yet, but it will very soon. What do you guys think of this picture, please tell me if you think it will leak. I can't get the side of the back door to attach "plush" to the new soft top. Help please

It does look like it will leak.
That's a pretty big gap.

Do you have the edge of the window fully in the door sill retainer? If you push out from the inside you shouldn't be able to create a gap, otherwise it'll pull away while driving. Mine has a slight bulge at the top tho too and no leaks. If you're rolled in properly then it's fine

You have to curl the lip of the soft top around the jam before you close the door... Its hard to explain but it should be in the shape of a "U" (on its side) not a " L ". In otherwords before you shut the door, dont just leave the lip of the soft top at 90 degrees, continue to fold it back behind the door jam there is a tiny slot it will fit in

I maybe have to take a tarp out to cover it when it rains, omg i am freaking.

Unzip the window and put that channel in first. Close door. And zip the window in.

Open the door and push that part of the window fully into the channel of the door surround. It's not that hard.

Where it fits into the door channel, it has to be rolled around and put it.

That's why the side windows have to be unzipped.

You will probably have to unfasten the velcro to let it roll forward into its slot. It will get much easier as the top gets put up/down.

Okay, so I unzipped it and then pulled it tight in there and then did the lip at the bottom then zipped and velcro'd, it looked better but its not staying in there and keeps popping out, basically the length does not seem to fit. I am trying to get my neighbor to help me, he sold it to me, i think he will help.

Start with the channels at the door side first...

I get the side into the door channel then start the zipper and close the door. Make sure your bottom is in before you do the side. Once the door is closed I finish the zipper.

ID:	1371905 here is the best i can do for now, i am drenched in sweat and have to take my son to soccer now then work tonight, kill me. I am wondering masking tape or duct tape would do less damage...

I unzipped it, took it completely off, trying to pull that side in, but when i went to refasten the zipper it would not pull close enough with all the energy i had. So i pulled it into the door frame and then zipped then did the lip at the bottom. I was told to do the lip first but did it opposite this time.

Dumb question, but do you have the door surrounds on? It almost looks like they are not there. I don't have a factory soft top, but I think where that stitching is , that has to be almost to the door itself. You have to fold the L shape back another 90 degrees and that should fit into a slot on your door surround. My bestop I get that caught in track, then pull everything tight towards the back, with my zippers being the last thing done. The top of my topfits into a slot in my surround but was popping out, I get it tight in the surround, then stick a thin piece of plastic in the surround near the top of the door. It holds it in place

Yes his was a 4 door rubicon, 2013, so it was very close in style as mine. I will have my husband read this thread tomorrow, he works nights so its just me panicking by myself. Hoping my neighbor can stop by later when I get home.

Looks like this with door open, on both sides no matter how much i stretch it into place it just keeps popping out.
No rain today so far, phew. I am thinking masking tape or duct tape if i cant figure this out by the rain coming tomorrow night.

Ok, do you see the little slot on the door frame?
That's where the top fits into.

I should have said window instead of top.

This is how I was shown how to do it.Start with the zipper and zip it about an inch, tuck the side panel into the slot in the door surround then do the bottom of the panel and finish with rest of the zipper and velcro.
