I'm thinking about getting a JK X, 2 door and was wondering what top is best as well as what doors. I like the idea of dropping the top anywhere with the soft top and using the half doors. I have seen a couple of JKs with the soft tops off/down with the full doors and to me it looked odd. Do the half doors have any problems of sealing tight? Anything I should consider? Thanks for the thoughts.
yes they have half doors....BUT thats only with out the power convenience group and standard soft top.....IMO, go with the duel top option with the power group....this was for 2000 bucks more you get the best of everything! and quite frankly getting it as an option right now is the cheapest solution by far......also the hard tops are all on back order for right now.......AND if you get the powr group with duel tops you CANT get half doors.....wait and get some after market slide on ones.....they should be out soon if not yet
Although its my TJ.. I got full doors on mine with hard top that i removed few months ago.. the doors rattled so bottom line for me was.. no top, full doors rattle
hmmm this being my first wrangler.....(always a jeep owner ) do all wranglers come with removable door frames?........i know my new JK 4 door does.......that makes a nice tight fit using the soft top or hard top....and also with the soft top folded back once so only the front seats are open air......this might have been your issue....again im a newbie and really trying to trouble shoot for myself for the future
