Soft Top Problem

I didn't have time to completely remove my top yesterday, so I opened the front part and folded it back. Later, when I tried to close the top the latches would not reach the hooks, it was a half inch or so short. I need up having to put the entire top down and then attach the front first. Anyone have any ideas what Im doing wrong?

Did you try releasing the rear sails before latching the front the first time? Did you do anything out of order the second time (something was left loose that isn't loose in Sunrider mode?)?

And were the front clips separated when you tried to attach the first time? That latch has two pieces to it. One hook and one latch.

Just needs to stretch. The more you use it the easier it'll get.

Make sure the front latches are FULLY opened.
Check the soft top help thread at the top of the page.

I had the same problem. After you do get it latched closed, in a few days it will close easy after it stretches.

Yep still needs to stretch. If I go sunrider I still need to undo the rear sails to fully latch it shut. My top has been on about a month.
