Soft Top Removal

I recently purchased a 2013 2-door Jeep Sahara with dual tops. In the instructions, it states that one of the tops must be removed. I want to remove the soft top, but the pivot brackets must be removed from the sports bar. I'm not sure how to do that. Any help would be appreciated.

Two torx bolts hold it in place on either side of roll bar. Unbolt from bar, unbolt hardtop lift up and slide soft top out.

There are two bolts on the slanted roll bar on each side that have to be taken down. They are on the underneath facing forwards.

You don't need to remove the brackets bolted to the bar, just remove the bows from that bracket. You'll need a small phillips IIRC. I would suggest that once you have the softtop off, replace those "knuckles" with some quick release bow-knuckles. Best investment so far since I'm constantly putting on/taking off the soft-top.

Wrong button. Remove HT so as to not damage it while removing the soft top.

I thought the quick release knuckle was not applicable on 2012's and beyond. What is a Phillips IIRC?

there are 2 small bolts on each side...one for each bow. Take the bolts out of the ends of the bows, slide them off of the brackets that are mounted to the roll bar and the top is free. Thread the bolts back into the bow ends for safe keeping.
From what I understand you have to remove the hard-top to get the soft top out.
A bit of a P.I.A. (not really, if you have a buddy you can take the Hard top off in about 15 minutes) But its only a one time thing....the FIRST time...from then on out it should just be swapping soft top for hard top and Vis-versa , each season.
