Soft top removal when in box

Hi guys, first post! I've just bought a 2014 freedom edition JK wrangler unlimited and as you can imagine I'm pretty keen to take it out and run it in! I pick it up on Thursday when I get back home and I noticed when I was looking at it while at the dealers the soft top came in a box in the boot I'm just wondering if I need to take my hard top off or not to access and remove the boxed soft top or can I somehow remove it from the boot without dismantling the car? Thanks!

You need to remove the hard top.
