Soft top seal question

I know I know not another water leak thread. Just a quick question.

I had the typical A-post, on the door handle water leak with my soft top. Took it to the dealer and they installed a new "seal kit" or whatever the TSB calls for. We'll see if it works next time it rains.

Anyway, they said I had a "rolled seal" which was causing the leak. When I asked them to be more specific as far as exactly where or what i should look for to keep it from happening again I got a bunch of clueless answers. The tech actually said "Those soft tops are just a pain and it's hard to explan." Thanks for the great customer service.

Anybody able to elaborate on exaclty what that special person might have meant and matybe have a picture to post? Just want to make sure I'm not doing something wrong with the soft top that might be causing the problem.

I have the same leaks...went to the dealer with my leak...they said it needs new door seals...got it back...still leaking...I called and told them it 's still leaking...then he said "we'll have to adjust the doors"...I said it doesn't leak through the doors...it comes from the header and seeps down under the door surround...he said "oh"? Well just bring it back in...blah blah blah...

They have no clue and simply "throw" possible fixes at the problem, hoping for a solution...they won't even try to troubleshoot where, exactly the water comes from...I have about given up...but I did slow down the driver's side with some camper tape...same tape on the passenger side didn't slow down that side...

Not sure what I'll do next...

Oh and to answer your question of "what is a rolled seal" It probably means that the seal was compressed into a different shape by not being in the correct position when "clamped down" for a period of time...(mis-shapen) there is a rubber "mucket" that sometimes gets rolled under itself...maybe that's what he meant...
