Soft Top Stains

I have a 4dr 2009 and have kept my soft top clean and use Besttops preserver. However when it rains I always have streakes of dark stains on my body work and windows. Is this due to something in the preserver of is using it every 5-6 weeks too often? The stains require some rubbing to remove and the only thing that removes it from the plastic windows is Plexus (great stuff).

Could be leaving a residue film. Some guys use simple green to clean the top and use a protectant after. My top is stained to all hell

furniture polish pledge or a generic type will clean the plastic windows better then the stuff your using I have both no comparison really . as for body and the black marks get a detail cleaner wal mart or somewhere I spray it on and theirs no rubbing at all comes right off .
