Soft tops, Mopar or Bestop

Just got a 2011 Unlimited Sahara with a hard top. Looking at soft tops and wondering which is best, the Mopar or the Bestop. I'm leaning towards the Bestop Supertop NX.

Bestop makes the OEM Mopar top.

I love my super top NX. I used to have the mopar top and my NX looks and feels just like my old mopar top beside there improvements like the ability to adjust how tight it fits and the support bracket on the the front seats.

What is the support bracket on the front seat?

I found this pic on the forum. It's the bar to the right it keeps the top quite when driving and stops rain from pooling. I know this is a TJ but the JK has the bar too.

I kept mine off, I think it's for more when the top gets older and stretches.

Yes it will. Just make sure you get all of the hardware with it. And also do not interchange parts from different year tops.

If it is a sunrider, it will have a plastic molding that can slide back and forth on the bows. You can slide it back and reveal a hinge where just the front of the soft top can be folded back.

Thanks so much! Have a guy on craigslist who doesn't know if his is a sunrider or not. Never put the soft top on.

Why do so many people keep saying a 2010 will not fit a 2011?

Small changes from '10 to '11: the windows got bigger is the main one. But the tailgate brackets are slightly different, and so is the little tab on the top that goes into it.

You could make a '10 fit an '11, but you'd want all the hardware, and that rarely happens with used tops.

There were even bigger changes between 09 and 10.

And a top from before 07 will be totally different.

They are shipping now, but in small quantities. It's going to be a bit before we catch up with backorders. I don't know how far behind we are, but it took over a month to catch up w/ TJ orders.
