I bought my Jeep in June 2011. It was on the dealer showroom floor. New. We also bought a new Jeep Grand Cherokee 70th Aniversary edition about one month later. Both have the same radio / navigation system. it is the 430N
I guess my jeep's actual production date was in March 2011. and it does not have the same software as the newer car. I can not get the Serious Travel Link. I have read online at Jeep.com that I can call a number to get a disc to upgrade my software, yet when I called Jeep - they did not have any copies to send out and suggested that I call the dealer. I called one dealer and he said it takes about an hour or so and that I need to make an appointment.
Has anyone done this yet? I was thinking that it should have been done before I ever bought the Jeep? I also have the stupid problem that if I am using my I-pod in my Jeep, and then just turn off the ignition, when I restart the car, I get the AM radio playing Mexican Music. The other jeep we have does not do this. I am hoping that this is fixed in the newer software upgrade?
