some people just gota be jerks!!

i was just thinking i see people ask a question on a forum and several people will chime in with the (i dont have time to answer your question do a search adittude) ya know if we were all so darn important and our time was so precious we wouldnt be on a forum in the first place!! I realize the search is a great tool that we should all use, but sometimes a person wants to ask a question in thier own words , ive also saw lots of nice folks take time to answer a question that they probally have answered several times before but they do it again because like i said if you are on here then you have the time to treat someone decent , if your sooo important that your time would be wasted then get off the pc and do something important!!

yeah ,your right.

We have a "supporting member" who squelches conversation periodically, that is getting old. I have been biting my tongue for about 5 months now.

My advice to you is keep posting and creating new threads ,and ignore those whom seem to know everything already. This is a public forum.
Don't take anything too personally, computer forums ,texting,e-mails,etc. allow people to get more bold(rude)than ,if they were in person(unfortunately.)
Keep Jeepin ,you gotta have thick skin.

i agree with you totaly, and it really isnt me that i was refering to. People have really treated me well on here, but i see others posting and think wow they just want to be apart of the jeep fun and enjoy posting only to get a swift kick in the ass by some people.

Heres a prime example. I was looking for some advice on a issue I have. This benny guy jumps on at the end of the tread with stupid comments. Look at his profile, says he is a porn star. Just shows how big of a jack off he is.

I agree only to a certain extent. I am on all 4 major Jeep forums (mostly this one) and I took the time to look them all over. Many people will jump on and ask a question and the same exact thread is 2 posts below.

Many times people come on with non specific questions, yet expect specific answers. "How big a lift should I put on my new JK?"

Do any of you really want to answer which is better, manual or auto? There is a particular member who will remind them to do a search, but he also usually ends up answering the question. It does become tiresome. I must have posted the link to JP Magazine's article regarding driveshaft angles 6 times in the past 2 or 3 days alone.

Like daggo I have mixed emotions about the subject. I may mention something about the topic being posted on a lot but go ahead and answer the question or ask for clarification. If I have time I will include a link to the other recent thread. When you get a link included it means that I did the search for you. Maybe you just couldn't figure out how to search? Or you are on your mobile device and couldn't search effectively. I try not to judge, or be rude in those cases. I am also a member on other forums but hang out here because of how civilized most posters are here. If things get to flaming too much the moderators are quick to point it out and settle it down. That is the major reason it stays so civilized. As experience with the forums increases you will come to your own conclusions about were friendly is and where rough and tough is. The main thing as other posts have said; have fun with your jeep and the rest is fluff.

I think the responses you get are all a result of how you post your thread.

Try adding this to your questions: Im a girl that's clueless

Also, it appears that having a user name like "JeepinHottie" will gather more responses.

This is not a scientific survey, merely anecdotal observations.

That doesn't mean he can't order in an air attack. Submariners have connections in high places!
