Some serious vibration

Last night I was out on the town and came down a hill pretty fast, may have hit a small hole in the road and then my Jeep started shaking/vibrating something fierce. At first I thought it was a flat tire, but I slowed down and then it eventually stopped.

Anyone have suggestions as to what it could be? Tires look fine.

Google or search "death wobble"

Could be this. Just an idea, maybe a start for you.

Are you running a lift? Aftermarket tires? If so, were they recently installed? Need more info.

Could be any number of things, from too much PSI in tires to improperly torqued trackbar, bent components, etc.

Good place to start: Diagnosing Death Wobble and Fixing Non-DW Shimmies and Wobbles

BTW...what happened is probably NOT death wobble. Death Wobble won't go away; you'd have to park your Jeep and call a wrecker, most likely.

No lift or after market tires. I did read the Death Wobble, not entirely sure if that's what it was..call a wrecker?? It's 2008!? I brought it in for an oil change yesterday and inspection and everything checked out. Only issue was rear differential liquid was black and they wanted to charge over $200 to do front and back.

Sure sounds like death wobble to me the way you described it. I recommend going through the checklist in the "diagnosing death wobble" thread that others suggested.

if the problem come back as you go faster... you might have lost a wheel weight in which they would re-balance the tire for prob. about $10 at a tire shop. If this is the case, just tell them you hit a hole with "blank" tire and now it shakes as you get up to speed.

Had a diagnostic, apparently my EGR valve needs to be replaced. Two fault codes came up and now my engine light has come on. Getting fixed today!
