no not at all. I'll go snap a picture of my pinch seam trim. been done for a while. :thumb:
edit: crappy picture with my iPad. after you cut, just make sure you throw some paint on it to keep rust away. all that nonsense about job weld, sealing foam, or anything else... is okay but not necessary
google jk pinch seam trim. you'll find all the information you need
Yeah, I would definitely do that! I would want the orange pretty bright though, not too deep of an orange. Where is the pic of the tow hooks complete already? Blue and orange is a pretty classic combo color actually. And even that overdone racecar looks super sweet. Again, I drive a gecko too... so take it for whats it worth...
 it looks fine. some black paint on the green... but it goes with the character of my jeep :thumb: I will throw up a picture in the morning for you. I also trimmed the rear of the back fender.
got silly one night. but it really opens up the wheel well with 37s
I wouldn't think a second that anything blue would work on my orange jeep. And I think the opposite is true. But if everybody thougbt the I did, there would be a lot less ugly crap on the road.
LOL at all the dudes on here saying orange and blue don't go together. They're complimentary colors! One of the fundamentals of design is that primary and complimentary colors go together- see how every color pair that is exactly opposed on the color wheel looks good together? It's science!
Of course, everyone is entitled to like or dislike different combinations. But orange and blue definitely "go together."
Jeeps are supposed to represent what the owner likes (so screw everyone else and just please yourself).I am an Illini fan and a Bears fan so I love orange and blue.
I get a hard time about some of the chrome accents I have but I take Krushr off roading and have doing it.
They are complimentary colors, some people like them, others don't. I never have been a fan of gold/yellow with purple and those are complimentary colors too. I think a thin line of orange would look good, something a third of the width of tape you mocked up. If you like it, do it, if you aren't sure yet - print out that picture and look at it a few times a day and decide later.
Alot of truth in that statement. The mock-up job could definitely been done better. I only plan on doing the face of the rim which is about 3/4 of the tape surface in the picture. Im about 85% sure this is happening tomorrow afternoon!
I really like it! So much that if I had that color I'd probably steal your idea. And for anyone who doesn't think the colors work together, don't forget about the Islander edition a few years ago. That wasn't too far off from this, and it looked great!
Don't do it!! If you do, your Jeep will lose at least 10 to 15% in performance. Plus, you personally will lose any ability to recognize and attain goals!! Those are University of Illinois Football colors!!
I agree! and i am also a broncos fan so i dig it! Just add some more hits of orange like painting your antenna and maybe grille inserts. I think it would ground the whole rig and look good
I like it. I can see where a lot would not. There does appear to be a lot of conservative Jeepers in here. i.e. black wheels and black hardware on everything...which I do like that look.
But it is nice to see a bit of 'color' and something out of the box every once in a while.
We can tell you are new around here. If it is not green and black, black and black, red and black, blue and black, and has the stock antenna on it, it is an abomination.
I'd say go for it. If it were just the wheels I'd say no, but I bet they will look good with the tow hooks.
That being said, I'm more concerned with how you plan on painting them. I'm pretty sure powdercoat is the only way to do it correctly. If you plan on using spray pain I'd be afraid that they would look like crap almost instantly.
If I had a blue Jeep, I'd seriously consider orange accents...and I'm probably one of the most conservative guys here!
I thought about finding a complimentary color for my Red Rock JK, but nothing pops out at me as looking good. I wonder what Rescue Green would look like with my RRCP................
