Sometimes you just need a tree....

While on a trip I found a Diesel tha had dropped his front axle into a ditch and could not get out.....

I asked if he needed help and got a "yeap".... so I backed up into the ditch to get myself planted and ready to winch him out, but I kept pulling myself up and out of the ditch instead of him .....so I strapped myself to a tree and was able to save the day once again... I will say that my winch was on the verge of what it could pull......it was fighting for everything it could get...

Congrats. Your winch was struggling because that is a lot of weight. Even bobtail they weigh a lot. Bet you were smiling like a damn Cheshire cat after that.

It was a brand new 8000lb Bulldog that I got in a trade for some paint work on another jeep.... But yeap, I was smiling..

Cool thing is , that just on Friday morning I towed about 30-40 people up the hill on I-20 In Dallas and got plenty of air time on the local channels..

Here is a picture from the TV..
