Sooo you "Wheel the piss" out of your JK?

I kinda giggle every time someone says they wheel the piss out of there JK and have no problems, especially when it comes to folks who say they do it on a D30 and 40's. I guess we all have different idea's of what the phrases means.
.
This was shoot in our "home park" even through its a 5 hour haul for us. Any one close enough to it should really check it out.

I wheel my JK hard enough to have fun while crossing my fingers I don't break it too bad. After all, I gotta get to work on Monday.

HaHa Actually there are several teams running IFS (we are strongly considering building one) BUT they brought there SFA cars because it was such a brutal race.

I'd wheel like that too if I had a sponsored rig with free parts getting thrown at me! Or just a butt load of disposable income.

That's my neck of the woods. Was there 2 weeks ago. Luckily it's only an hour drive for me.

Wheeling the piss out of a jeep is a very subjective statement. I use to say I wheel the piss out of mine, when I was really just puddle splashing going 40 mph. I honestly thought that's what wheeling meant. Perspective is everything. The stuff I do now is far pass what I ever thought wheeling is a year ago, but I don't even call it close to what you guys do. Again, perspective. The more you see/do, the more credibility your statements have.

They are about as close to being Jeeps as a Nascar is to being a stock showroom car.

Although they do look mighty fun!!!!

And the carnage reports. I hit some rocks like that and snapped a tie rod. Put it back together with a hy-lift, cable, comealong and ratchet strap. Put it back together well enough to drive 7 miles into town. Park at a Starbucks and call a flatbed to take me home.

I hit turns that a 2DR was tight on and lost a fender. Drove over it, stopped and picked it up. Re-clipped once I got home.

Same trail a month later, same fender and passenger door handle broken. Door dented by the handle.

Drove into a muddy lake that went over the hood. The missus liked it so much she drove back through it.

I do not wheel the piss out of anything. Except me...

Nice. Did you run in that? Those buggys are pretty amazing, and that video was shot well. Looked like a hell of a good time...

I agree its all in the perspective. Just like in any motorsport there are stock classes and unlimited. The guys in stock are not having any less fun or wheeling the piss out of it any less. The line between stock and unlimited is nothing more than how deep your pockets are.

Ultra4 is no joke, not only the money invested but also the time involved. A good friend of mine is crew cheif/co-pilot for Loren Healy and those guys go pretty much nonstop during racing season. If they aren't gone to a race they're completely tearing the car down for a refurb before the next race.

A lot of these guys don't get free stuff or are sponsored they race to race!!

(Side note I do sponsor a lot of those teams on the exhaust side, this maybe through (9 times out of 10) product for their race car )

Yes they are. The funny thing is, when I first met Loren he told me my 500hp LS motor was too much for rock racing.

Haha that's basically why I made this thread. Every time there is a discussion about axles there is allways someone who clames they(or someone they know) beat the snot out of there bone stock axles with 37's / 40's and never have any issues.

I just work on them, this was the first Ultra4 race for our team and we lost 3ed gear resulting in a stopped up tranny pump on the last lap.
